January Update:
Greetings All,
Hope this email finds you well. A big thank you to everyone who has been contacting us to obtain draft letters to assist us to lobby the federal and provincial governments to approve Avastin (Bevacizumab) as a brain tumour treatment in Canada/Alberta, like our neighbours in the USA.
MLA Doug Elniski called Deb today, less that 24 hours from receiving her email, to let us know that he will work with three other MLAs and meet with the Minister of Alberta Health and Wellness to help address our situation. Needless to say, we are very impressed with Mr. Elniski's prompt and kind attention to our struggle. It is amazing what one little email can do...
On that note, we would greatly appreciate it if folks would still send emails or letters to the following:
* Minister of Health Canada; [sample letter]
* Your local Member of Parliament; [sample letter]
* Minister of Alberta Health and Wellness; [sample letter]
* Your Local MLA. [sample letter]
The more support we have, the better. We have all the templates and addresses available for you, so don't be shy - ha!
Kohler Beer Tasting - Come One, Come All!!!
As you know, Wild TV has set up a Trust Fund for Kent, and the fund recently covered the cost of some of Kent's treatments. Needless to say, Wild TV "ROCKS!! - like all of YOU!!"
Ryan Kohler, Kent's brother and one of the founders of Wild TV, is launching a new beer called Kohler Lager, in the near future. They are inviting everyone in the Edmonton area to come out to a tasting this Saturday night. See the attached invitation.
